North Rode Villagers recently put together a working party to renovate the old well on Church Lane in the village. The broken lintel was replaced thanks to a kind donation by Peter Brocklehurst and the trough cleaned out. This is in preparation for our first village Well Dressing, due to be held in 2026.
Our 2025 poppy workshop produced over 400 additional poppies for the village displays, meaning we now have over 650 poppies to display around the village. Displays were installed around new village signs, village greens and at Daintry Hall and St Michael’s Church

North Rode finally received a grit bin for the dangerous bend on Shellow lane by the railway bridge. The parish council asked for a grit bin from Cheshire East Highways for this location over a year ago, so it is great news to receive this just before the icy season.
