North Rode Parish Council Celebrated the 80th Anniversary of VE Day on the 8th May 2025 by inviting all villagers along to enjoy a Cheese and Wine evening and to listen to VE day speeches alongside images of the actual day in 1945. North Rode Church had been decorated on the outside with a sea of poppies and on the inside with flags and bunting. This was followed by an informal annual village meeting to let villagers know what their parish council have been doing over the past year and what the plans are for the coming year. It was also a great opportunity for villagers to have their say.
